Brindleleaf The calico she-cat padded from the Warriors den to the center of the Riverclan camp. She purred loudly as she smelled the fresh air blow around her. Her long fur flowed all around and it made her feel more relaxed. Brindleleaf walked slowly over to a small shaded area and laid down lazily. She stretched slightly and looked around, waiting for somebody to talk to. Her claws sheathed, she kneaded the ground as she relaxed in the shade. She let out a yawn and rolled over to her back, stretching in an awkward way. The Warrior flipped over to her paws and sat on her haunches, tucking her tail neatly around her body. Brindleleaf let out a tiny meow and narrowed her eyes as she relaxed and waited for someone to talk to or hunt with.

silentstep don't fall asleep, you'll never wake up Silentstep groaned groggily, frankly getting tired of hearing the repettive complaints in the morning. "I wish I didn't have to go on the dawn patrol." I wish I could go, I wish I could do anything to get distracted from them."Can't we sleep a little longer?" I wish I could sleep, just a little bit. A little taste of the sweet dreamland, free of the voices would be satisfactory.
The tom got to his over-sized paws, complementing his undersized body and dragged his self out of the den. good morning, my little audience. Silentstep inaudibly cooed to his whispers that echoed threats; spats of insults. He slowly shook his head, slightly amused. How it was rare that he was humored by these pests, but what they were urging him to do, oh what they were tugging on his paws for. Silentstep sighed, letting him slip back into what little reality he had, and scanned the camp. Oh, it's empty except for Brindleleaf. I guess, you will do. Not that, anyone else would calm down his paranoia, or screaming friends inside his head. "Hello."

Brindleleaf As the she-cat spotted Silentstep, she immediately thought of how he always talked to himself. She didn't know why he did that. Maybe he had something mentally wrong with him. Did he have some kind of illness? Brindleleaf shrugged the thoughts aside and watched the tom walk around the clearing a bit, still talking to himself.
She purred in amusement and watched Silentstep with interest. As the tom's eyes laid on her, she dipped her head in greeting and meowed, "Hello there, Silentstep." Her tail flicked slightly behind her and she gave her chest fur a few licks. "How are you this fine day?"

silentstep don't fall asleep, you'll never wake up Her voice hardly wove its way through the thick clouds in Silentsteps' mind. Oh, but this, this happens all the time. He fixed his disoriented eyes onto the she-cat the best he could, fighting them to not flicker with fear.
"As fine as I can ever be." He barely murmured, sitting down a few tail-lengths away from Brindleleaf. After all, who'd want to sit next to me? Silentstep licked a tuff of oddly angled fur on his chest but it was no use, it couldn't make himself look presentable.
The longer the tom sat near the she-cat- the more his voices reacted. It was as if they were enraged by her, like she was a virus that if he strayed to close she'd kill 'em all.
Silentstep cringed, burrying his head into his shoulders and let out a small wail.
stop.

The she-cat purred happily at the tom. That's very good to hear, Silentstep. She said as she flicked her tail behind her. It was good to know Silentstep was talking to somebody, usually he would just talk to himself. Brindleleaf had noticed before that he had the voices in his head but it didn't really bother her that much. That's a lie....it does bother me sometimes... Her ears fell back as fear clouded Silentstep's eyes. Her fur around her shoulders bristled but fell down instantly as she thought about how that might alarm him.
She shrugged off the fact that he was scared of her and looked slightly away from Silentstep, and scented the air. It seems like a nice day to hunt, right? Brindleleaf commented, trying to distract from the fear. The fresh-kill pile looked low, but it could feed the only few mouths to feed. They still needed it stocked just to feed the 4 Riverclan cats, they were all hungry.
Brindleleaf glanced at the tom and signaled towards the fresh-kill pile with her tail, We should go hunting, it could do us some use. She let out a mrrow and gestured towards the Riverclan camp entrance. I'm going hunting, would you like to join me, Silentstep? The she-cat offered. She knew he needed something to distract him at least, she wanted to help him.

(Do you mind if I join? I need to get Snowstar active.)
Snowstar was lying in her nest, thinking of the future like she always did. Only when pale gray light leaked through the lichen that closed her den off from the camp did the large, white she-cat enter the clearing and jump onto Highrock to look at the camp. The faint sounds of waking warriors sounded softly on the breeze. Sh smiled as he looked at the sky. It was streaked with red light as it stretched across the sky like claws. She looked at the camp again and saw two warriors about to head off. She realized that the dawn patrol was nowhere to be seen and scents told her that the chosen warriors hadn't even waken up yet. Her fur bristled, but she forced it to lay flat.
Jumping down from Highrock, Snowstar padded to the two warriors "Hello Brindleleaf, Silentstep." she nodded politely to both warriors. "Before you two go off to hunt, would you like to do a quick patrol with me?" she asked in a tone that let the two warriors know it wasn't an order. She sat down and wrapped her fluffy, white neatly around her paws to wait patiently for an answer. She drew up a paw and licked it, swiping it gently over her ears and whiskers.

silentstep don't fall asleep, you'll never wake up
Silentstep made a mental note of the fur bristling upon her shoulders. If it was only Silentstep, and Silentstep alone, this small action would not have aroused him. However, with countless unwanted guests in his already confused mind this small movement sent the whispers into a frenzy.
He fought the urge to claw off his ears, to let out a ground shaking scream. When all of the voices talked at once; it was simply awful. It was as if, they were kits per say. And they were screaming, wailing, terrible echoes of pain.
Gritting his teeth he pulled himself forcefully back into his makeshift reality. I'm going hunting, would you like to join me, Silentstep? The warriors cloudy eyes were dragged towards Brindleleaf. She seemed to have been talking, but Silentsteps' voices had muted her out though, she requested that the gray tom join her for a little morning hunting.
Why not?
"I-I don't think much prey will be out this early, but okay." His voice was barely raised above a whisper, and with his head angeled towards the ground it didn't make the sound waves to reach the she-cats ears any easier.
Silentstep was flattered by her kindness- it was a first in his case.
Swift movements alerted his senses. A white figure swept through the camp like a breeze, and landed gracefully next to the two warriors. "Hello Snowstar." He meowed, trying to regain a small amount of energy in his voice.

OOC: I don't mind (: I'm just glad some of us are roleplaying(:Brindleleaf
The she-cat watched the tom closely in a curious attitude. She was a curious cat, however, but she didn't usually take this kind of interest in any cat as much as she was now. Maybe it was just because Silentstep was very different from other cats she had met. That was true. He was different, different in good and bad ways. Brindleleaf felt scared but her eyes and face showed none of it.
She leaned a bit closer to Silentstep to catch what he was saying. She had offered for him to join her and go hunting, but she could sense he was uncomfortable. Of course, you don't have to go.... Her voice trailed off as the Clan leader, Snowstar, padded over to the two cats.
Brindleleaf nodded in greeting and flicked Snowstar on her flank with her tail. Hello there, Snowstar. It's nice to see you out here. She mewed as she started to relax with another cat here. It was more of a distraction from her fear of Silentstep. It wasn't a fear of him, but it was a fear of his illness. Yes, Snowstar, of course I'll come. Brindleleaf purred as she stood and glanced at Silentstep to wait for his response. Although she knew it was an order to go, she knew Silentstep would still have to respond to the order from Snowstar. The she-cat held her lace and cotton-soft tail high behind her and flicked the tip slightly in a patient manner.

Snowstar purred as Brindleleaf agreed to go. "Thank you, Brindleleaf." she dipped her head respectfully. Snowstar admired Brindleleaf because of her kindness and respect toward others. It was a good quality in a warrior, one that seemed every clan needed more of. She flicked her fluffy tail, letting it arch over her back and fall to one side. She looked at Silentstep. "Silentstep, if it is not your wish to come, then you do not have to join us. I will not force you too." she said softly.

silentstep don't fall asleep, you'll never wake up "O-okay, I guess so." Silentstep murmured, and rose to his gray paws. He lowered his gaze to the soft ground and fixed his gaze on a small pebble. Snowstars presence had made him close up again.
His voices hissed.
Siletstep forced a whine down his throat. Why can't I be like I was, even in a crowd?
He shook the voices back into the creases of his mind and focused on Snowstar and Brindleleaf.
I'll hunt like an normal warrior.
I'll behave like an normal warrior.
For today, on the outside, I'll act like a normal warrior.
"So uh," The tom cleared his throat and shuffled his paws on the ground. "Are we going to go?" His voice trailed off at the end, still not yet comfortable with talking to others.

Brindleleaf Brindleaf purred at her leader's words. Of course, Snowstar. It's no problem, anyway. We could use the patrol. She said as she turned to look at Silentstep. She took a small step towards the Camp entrance as if to say "Come on, we should get going." But she noticed, as always, that Silentstep was hesitant.
It's okay, Silentstep, you won't get hurt." The she-cat murmured only loud enough for him to hear it. She glanced sideways to see if Snowstar heard her, but she knew she probably wouldn't.
The she-cat smirked as Silentstep showed his uncomfortable notions by shuffling his paws. Brindleleaf cleared her throat to distract both of them, her Clan mate and Leader. I believe we should go down to the river, so we can be sure ThunderClan isn't traveling into our territory. The colorful cat sheathed and unsheathed her claws, but quickly regained control as she focused back onto Snowstar. What do you think, Snowstar? She mewed as her tail flicked impatiently behind her. The cat was starting to get tense, she wanted to fight but she knew it wouldn't be justice right now in a day so great like this.
Even though this warm day prey would be out and cats from all Clans would be likely to take advantage of this day and trespass into other territory.

Snowstar smiled at Brindleleaf's suggestion. "Good idea. Let's go." she stood up and flicked her tail as she headed for the tunnel. Once outside, she headed for the river and watched it bubble as it came into view. She looked back to see if Brindleleaf and Silentstep were followed. "Maybe a bit of fish will do us good. Then we can take a fish or two back for fresh kill." she said, more to herself than her patrol.
